"The Plaza Snoop" by Melkio demonstrates his mastery of bold line work and dynamic color contrasts. Known for his expressive, exaggerated proportions, Melkio uses sharp outlines to create energy and motion within the composition. His technique incorporates a mix of high contrast shading and vibrant, yet controlled color choices, which enhances the piece’s sense of depth and visual impact. With a keen focus on texture and stylized details, Melkio brings a playful yet dramatic tone to the artwork, effortlessly merging cartoonish elements with sophisticated graphic design.

About the artist

Melkio

Born in Genoa in 1984, Melkio has been drawing for as long as he can remember, though for years he threw everything away, considering it too natural to keep. It was during the 2020 lockdown that he decided to take his art seriously, and his career has grown rapidly since. He works as a phygital artist, moving fluidly between painting, digital work and live projection installations. His visual language is unmistakable: a minimal number of colours, a strong defining line, and a fusion of Pop Art and illustration that invites the viewer to bring their own meaning to the work.
