Melkio was born in Genova in 1984 and he always has been drawing.
What does means always for him, he can define it in this way:

“Since I have memory, I always had a pen or pencil in my hand and a sheet of paper to sketch.
For me it was the most natural thing I could done, I was given for granted and that’s why I was always thrown them away…”

During the ages he developed some occasional artistic projects, however it was considering them as fun while he was working in marketing environment. In 2020, during the lockdown he decided to develop his artistic career and so his path started.

He is a phygital artist (physical-digital), nevertheless he works with physical and digital tools.
His concerning from animated projections to paintings and objects decorations, clearly keeping his strong identity using any kind of tools.
Just few colors identify his art and a marked line. 

Melkio’s work and research focus on simplifying messages into a few lines and transforming them into a mix between Pop art and illustration.
The aim of his work is to create a communication with the viewer so that the latter can also insert something of themselves into the work.

His style manages to decline into different forms while remaining coherent and extremely recognisable.

Melkio enjoys expressing his line in collaborations with brands both for the development of some dedicated collections and for communication campaigns, as well as experimenting with digital art in the form of installations and live performances.
