About the artist

Taisuke Kinugasa

Born in Kyoto in 1989, Taisuke Kinugasa has been painting since the age of two, a fact that feels entirely believable when you stand in front of his work. His paintings of landscapes and still lifes are built from an extraordinary sensitivity to colour: high-purity tones chosen and combined with an instinctive precision that no formal training could fully explain. He has held solo exhibitions in Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo and New York, and has collaborated with brands including Heralbony. He has won recognition at the All-Japan Art Salon and the New York Zeroart Contemporary Art competition.
