About the artist

Paolo Fedeli

Paolo Fedeli was born in Florence in 1957 and trained at the Art Institute of Siena, where he earned a Master of Arts. He paints the Tuscan landscape and, increasingly, cities such as Venice, London and New York, always from close in so the viewer feels inside the scene. He works outdoors, draws straight onto the canvas without preliminary sketches, and mixes his own paints. His work has been recognised in more than 150 Italian art competitions, including the Rana d'Oro.
