About the artist

Alfredo Candela

Alfredo Candela trained at the Schools of Fine Arts in Alcoy and Valencia, where he developed a deep command of colour theory and mixed media technique. His work centres on three great themes, the sea, flowers and landscape, approached with a sensitivity that transforms the familiar into something quietly extraordinary. He works in alternating warm and cool tones, creating canvases that feel both studied and spontaneous. His paintings have a meditative quality: they reward time spent with them, revealing new nuances the longer you look.
