Me gusta la fruta roja presents a simple still life elevated through Alberto Márquez’s sensitive observation of light and material. Working with mixed media, the artist builds the surface through layered textures and tonal variations, giving the fruit a vivid presence within the composition. The deep reds become the visual focus, contrasted with softer surrounding hues that enhance their intensity. Subtle shadows and gentle reflections evoke the calm clarity of Mediterranean light, while Márquez’s controlled yet expressive brushwork lends the scene a quiet sense of warmth and immediacy. Through this restrained arrangement, the artist invites the viewer to appreciate the beauty found in ordinary moments.
