#994 is built on accumulation. Six bands of pure colour; mint, acid yellow, blush, orange, red, green, laid one over the other with a palette knife, each stroke thick enough to cast its own shadow. The result is something between a colour chart and a landscape, between order and instinct.
Fernanz works fast and deliberately. The colours here are not mixed or blended, they are placed, raw and unapologetic, each one insisting on its own presence while holding its position within the whole. On a neutral linen ground, they hit hard. In a room, they fill it.

About the artist
Fernanz
Fernanz has always been driven by a restless creative energy. From a young age he began developing his artistic skills, eventually committing fully to abstract painting as the central language of his practice. His style is immediately striking: bold, high-contrast compositions built through multiple layers of oil, acrylic, inks, gouache and pencil, always in matte finishes, always full of movement and texture. He is entirely self-taught and continues to research and refine his technique to this day, approaching each new work as both an artistic and an investigative act.
