Original artwork — only 1 available

Overlapping wing panels in glossy black steel carry a gradient that runs from yellow and orange at the top, through hot pink and violet, to blue, green and turquoise at the tips, with a polished black body and fine antennae at the centre. Pineda Mariscal sums the piece up in one line: latent transformation, a promise of what is to be born. Mounted directly on the wall, the layered wings cast soft shadows behind them. At 112 × 90 cm it can hold an entrance, a living room or an office wall without anything else around it.
