About the artist

Antonio Garcia Soler

Antonio Garcia Soler was born in Alcoy, Alicante, in 1957 into a family of artists, and studied where his father taught before taking his degree in Valencia. He has spent a long career sharpening a realist technique aimed at the power and movement of the Mediterranean, working from the beach with sketches and reference photographs. He shares adjoining studios with his wife, the painter Nuria Miro, and their daughter Nuria Garcia Miro is an artist too.
