Original artwork — only 1 available

A bronze figure hangs in the centre of a rust-coloured iron frame, arms stretched wide to either side. Lorenzo Quinn wrote Choices as a list of opposites, light and dark, love and hate, motion and stillness, giving and taking, and the figure is what emerges from that constant battle. At 72 cm tall it works as a wall-side sculpture for a hallway, a study or a living room.

About the artist

Lorenzo Quinn

Lorenzo Quinn was born in Rome in 1966 and works in avant-garde figurative sculpture, best known for his monumental hands. He chose them deliberately as the most technically demanding part of the human body, and they have carried his work to Venice, Shanghai, Cannes, Mallorca and Giza. He conceives each piece in writing first, and the resulting poetic text is shown alongside the sculpture as part of the work. Michelangelo, Bernini and Rodin are his references.
