KYNX

KYNX was born in Alicante in 1992 and works in a minimal geometric language that is easy to recognise and difficult to do well. Simple forms, solid colour, compositions balanced to the millimetre. Nothing is there by accident.

He was drawn to visual arts and design early, and his references come as much from architecture and graphic design as from painting, with Bauhaus and De Stijl behind most of it. His method is reduction: strip each element back to its purest form and let colour and shape do the talking. What he is after is order and clarity, and a visual impact that arrives without raising its voice.

What has earned him attention is the combination of artistic instinct and mathematical precision, which is a harder balance than it sounds. He has exhibited in galleries in Spain and internationally, and works across painting, digital art and large-scale installation.
