ABOUT

Toni Bardet is a Spanish painter whose work reflects a deep, ongoing process of personal transformation. Raised in a family of artists, he began painting from an early age and became a full-time artist at just sixteen. Over the years, his art has evolved alongside his own emotional and psychological journey.

A severe mental crisis marked a turning point in his life and in his work. Painting became more than a form of expression—it became a refuge, a way to channel emotions that had no other outlet. This shift sparked an artistic transformation that led him to explore new languages and deeper layers of his own identity.

In London, surrounded by cultural diversity and urban energy, Bardet’s style grew more visceral. His brushstrokes became more intense, and his palette more daring. Later, in Los Angeles, inspired by the light, the ocean, and the local art scene, he embraced neo-expressionism—a raw, instinctive form of painting that allowed him to access greater freedom and authenticity.

Now back in Spain, Bardet has developed a mature and emotionally charged body of work that blends technique and instinct, structure and chaos. His paintings explore the subconscious, using color and gesture to convey inner realities that go beyond the visible.

He has exhibited in galleries and international events in Spain, Japan, Panama, California, and the UK. His work stands out for its emotional intensity, expressive power, and the ability to transform personal experience into a universal visual language.
